Channing's passion for training dogs started with a young Cavapoo she trained for her neighbor. She taught the dog basic obedience and even created a homemade agility course. She continued to work with the dog until the owner moved away. Channing also grew up hearing about her uncle training his dogs in the sport of Schutzhund, now called IPG/IPO. Channing dreamed of one day competing in that sport as well. In 2001 Channing found a new love for horses and began helping out at a local barn. She also showed at local shows until she had an accident in 2011. In 2016, Channing got her first dog, Gabriel, and trained him with the guidance of a local trainer Jeremy Rinehart. Despite Gabriel's passing in 2018, Channing's love for training dogs continues to this day.
Channing has a wealth of experience working with dogs, having worked at various dog companies since 2012. Her roles have included taking care of dogs at vet clinics, assisting with appointments and grooming, supervising doggie daycare, and caring for boarding dogs. She has also worked at dog training companies and volunteered at a dog grooming salon. With her extensive experience, Channing is well-equipped to provide top-notch care for dogs in any setting.
Channing's personal experience with having a Service Dog inspired her to take action and others in need. She recognized that the high cost of obtaining a service dog is a barrier for many people and decided to learn how to train them herself and offer them at a cost people could afford. Channing's dedication to always learning led her to learn how to train service dogs for a variety of disabilities, including PTSD, light mobility, psychiatric, and migraine alert. Her goal was to make service dogs more accessible to those who needed them most, including veterans, first responders, and people with disabilities.
Channing is a dedicated trainer who believes in the importance continuous learning and improvement. She is committed to expanding her knowledge and staying up to date with the latest training methods to provide the best possible service to her clients.
